For Moms and Dads...

During the month of June, 2007, Darrell Completed the move to beautiful, restful, relaxing, resonant, resplendent Ft. Myers, Florida.  He is just starting to introduce himself to the local patios and restaurants that feature his brand of S. Florida acoustic music, so check back soon for gigs for adults.

2007

For our friends a little further North, look for Darrell at the West Palm Beach Library on Clematis Street on January 4th at 2:00 pm.

Saturday January 20th, Darrell will return to the Ft. Myers area with a show at Lakes Regional Library at 2:00 pm.

January 24th, Darrell does a special program for the kids at Lauderhill Paul Turner Elementary School. 

February 24th at 11:00 am. look for Darrell at the Highland Beach Library on

A-1-A in Palm Beach County, Florida

March 20, 21 and 22, the students and faculty at Pinewoods Elementary School, Estero, Florida will have Darrell in for 3 days.  It's the annual book fair and Darrell will be the Grand Marshall for the Author Parade on the 22nd.  A donation of $5 for each book and CD sold will be donated to the school, and the shows are guaranteed to be a hoot.

During the 2nd week of April, the Florida Library Association will be gathering in Orlando and Darrel is planning on visiting with friends throughout the Florida library system to celebrate the written word.

OOOOOOHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh... Friday the 13th, catch Darrell at the Dadeland Mall where he will do a children's show for the Kidgits.  Hooray!!!!

Broward County Library is having Darrell in on April 17th & 19th for local 5th graders.

April 18th and 26th, Darrell will be taking his show to Pembroke Lakes Elementary School.  For 5 years he performed at the schools unique Cultural Festival that was like an alternative career day.  It featured musicians and people who had professions that were not as typical and mainstream.  This will be the first time to play for the whole school and he's really looking forward to this one.

Wilton Manors Elementary will host Darrell's shows on April 23rd, 24th and 25th. 

April 28th, see Darrell at Northwest Regional Library, in Coral Springs at 1:00 pm.  It's a show for the whole family.

May 7th,8th and 9th Darrell takes the show to Weston, Florida and the students and faculty at Eagle Point Elementary School. 

School is out in Broward on May 31st and there will be Summer shows in Librarys all over S. Florida.

June 2nd at 11:00 am, it will be the Tamarac Library.

Tuesday, June 5th, catch an evening performance at the Stirling Road Branch Library at 7:00 pm.

June 21st at 2:00 pm, see Darrell at the Main Library in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.

July 5th, Darrell returns for a second time to the Barron Library in Labelle, Fl.  Last time it was great playing for kids and families who had never heard him.  This time they know who he is and have asked to have him back.  Really!!!

July 10, 11 and 12 Darrell will be showcasing at 6 different libraries in Lee County Florida including:

7/10 - South County Regional at 2:00 pm

7/10 - Riverside Branch Library at 6:30 pm

7/11 - N. Ft. Myers Public Library at 11:00 am

7/11 - Bonita Springs Recreation Center at 2:00 pm

7/12 - Pine Island Public Library at 11:00 am

7/12 - East County Regional Library at 7:00 pm

Every once in a while, very special opportunities are coming along and on Friday, July 20th, Darrell will be performing at "The One Goal Conference" in Tampa, Fl.  He will open and close the final day of this 3 day conference of early childhood educators and professionals who support children and families.  They expect a thousand people to attend. 

Saturday, July 28th at 2:00 pm, catch the show at the library at Nova SE University in Davie.  There is a rumor there may be ice cream after the show, and you know how Darrell loves "Ice Cream For Lunch".

August kicks off with a show at the Oakland Park Library in Oakland Park, Florida on the 2nd at 6:00 pm.  This show was postponed from an earlier date due to torrential rains, thunder and lighting, but this could be even better.  It's a barbecue.  A regular Pic-a-nic.  See ya there. 

Saturday, August 4th, catch Darrell at the Hollywood, Florida Branch Library at 2:00 pm.  Looks like he'll be in Broward more than Ft. Myers this week.  LOL.

October 5 - 7, it's a return engagement as a Featured Author at the Amelia Book Island Festival.  Last year was such a treat and the kids and parents loved the show.  One of the great parts of this festival is the Author in Education Day.  Last year Darrell appeared at St. Michael's Academy, and they later wrote that it was the best author visit ever.  See the letter back on the home page.

November 16 & 17 Darrell is featured at The Vero Beach Book Festival where he will perform at Rosewood Magnet School and Vero Beach Elementary.  In addition, he will do a Saturday outdoor concert.

November 26, 27 & 28 Darrell visits Boulevard Elementary School in Hollywood Florida.  He will spend his days performing for all the kids in school, and Wednesday night there will be a special Family night show.

December 11 & 12, Darrell will wrap up 2007, spending 2 days at Riverglades Elementary School in Parkland, Florida.  Riverglades is a great school in a great community and he is counting the days till he can come and play.

2008

January 23 & 24, it's another visit to one of Darrell's favorite towns in Broward, when he comes to play at Country Isles Elementary School.

February brings Darrell back to Weston for a special Pajama Party at Imagine Charter School.  February 5th it jammys, slippers and a robe as he brings his music and stories to the families at this extraordinary school.

March 8th Darrell travels to Martin County Florida to play for the families at 2 different libraries.  At 11:00 am he performs at The Cummings Library in Palm City and at 2:00 pm he is at The Robert Morgade Library in Stuart.

Early April will find Darrell at Banyan Elementary School in Sunrise, Florida.  It looks like the dates are April 14 & 15.

Darrell is taking off on another Road Trip and it kicks off when he performs as the Keynote Musician and leads a workshop at the SW Virginia Early Childhood Education Conference at the University of Virginia, Wise Campus.

More dates are filling in all the time, but confirmed appearances include a 3rd trip back to Scott County Indiana, courtesy of his wonderful friends at Scott Memorial Hospital.  He will play at 6 different elementary schools on April 23, 24  & 25. 

Part of the trip will include a visit to Old Orchard Elementary School in Toledo Ohio.  Darrell performed at several Toledo libraries 2 years ago and loved it.  He is extremely excited about returning to the Buckeye State.
